Physical Therapy Assisant
Duties and Responsibilities:
The responsibiliy of a PTA is to prepare for upcoming therapy sessions by organizing the treatment locations based on the patient’s needs, clean therapy area, watch the patient’s development during therapy sessions and make notes on how the patient is responding, fulfill office and clerical duties ( ordering supplies, answering phone calls, taking appointments, calling patient) and helping complete and file insurance paperwork.

$47,379 - $57,759
Education Requirements:
All states require licensure or certification to those who want to becaome a physical therapy assistant.You must pass a state-administered exam or the National Physical Therapy Exam administered by the Federation of State Boards of Physical Therapy.

- Observe patients before, during, and after therapy, noting their status and reporting to a physical therapist
- Help patients do specific exercises as part of the plan of care
- Use a variety of techniques, such as massage and stretching, to treat patients
- Use devices and equipment, such as walkers, to help patients
- Educate a patient and family members about what to do after treatment
- Clean treatment areas and set up therapy equipment
- Wash linens
- Help patients move to or from a therapy area
- Do clerical tasks, such as answering phones and scheduling patients
