''Associate yourself with people of good quality if you esteem your own reputation; for ''Tis better to be alone than in bad company."
-George Washington

The statement above conveys the message that it is better to be an alone individual than to surround oneself with the worst kind of people. People of bad quality tend to latch onto those who are good and linger until they've completely made the good one of them. It is best to choose friends, co-workers, and relatives wisely. Hanging with the wrong crowd or person can cause detrimental results and influence you in the wrong way. If a person feels pressured to take part in an activity they aren't comfortable in, that is a sign that it's time to search for new friends. High school is prime example in which the good and the bad mix.  Another example is you're early adult hood. If you don't carefully examine the people you approach, you might find yourself in bad company.
