Duties and Responsibilities;
Speech pathologists diagnose and treat individuals who suffer from stutters, as well as vocal and cognitive communication impairments. They also help those whose speech is affected by emotional issues, various learning disabilities and physical impairments, such as a cleft palate.

Education:
You must first earn a Master's Degree in Speech and Language Pathology. Every state's speech therapist licensure requirements include a master's degree. A master's degree program in speech pathology introduces students to concepts such as voice articulation, phonology, literacy, and neurological substrates.
