X- Ray Technician

Duties and Responsibilities:
X-ray technicians provide assistance to doctors by capturing images of various internal organs. Their responsibility is to use medical imaging equipment to produce images of tissues, organs, bones, and vessels and, with advanced training, assisting in the administration of radiation therapy treatments.

Salary:
$56.880 - $76,060


Education Requirements:
 To achieve becoming an X- ray technician you first have to obtain a  associate degree at minimum. Then after earning a degree become ARRT-certified, then become licenced by your state, and lastly gain experience.


Skills in Demand:
  • Possession of excellent communication skills on all fronts
  • Must have good hand-eye coordination
  • Must be someone that pays keen attention to details
  • Must display a high level of flexibility in the process of carrying out assigned duties. This may entail filling in for other colleagues in the face of tight schedules
  • Must be willing and able to work as part of a team.
  • Must be able to analyze complex situations within a limited time-frame
  • Must be able to multi-task
